Caudwell Children fundraiser 30/07/11

It’s a giving few weeks.

What d’ya mean “what?”

Every so often the Dog throws open its doors to charidee events. The walls of our fine establishment are rammed full with lovely, altruistic people and thus every so often we have a night to raise a bit of cash. This Saturday is one such occasion.

The lovely Sophie Benko set out to cobble together a grand for Caudwell Children. Off the back of some prior fundraising she’s already raised over £800! Fantastic work! Now its our turn to turn up and turn out our pockets to take her over four figures (and hopefully much more).

Why should you? Well here’s a bit of info about the charity in question. Take your time to read it and you’ll see why Soph is doing this.

“Caudwell Children is a national charity based in Stoke on Trent that provides specialist equipment, treatment and therapies for sick and disabled children across the UK as well as our Destinations Dreams holiday for children (and their family) fighting life threatening conditions.
We are passionate about improving the health of children and ensuring every family has access to the equipment, services and treatments they require. We recognise that childhood is a critical and vulnerable stage when health inequalities can have effects that last throughout life.
