CATCHUP: Merry Hell and friends, Dani's birthday

Long time since the last post eh?
Well yeah, Dogstock and shit news has kinda knocked the wind out of all of our collective sails.
In the intervening time, we haven’t stopped.
We’ve had some amazing gigs from Bone Idols, Flat Stanley, gigs in support of the Wigan Diggers, our first Summer Market, some scorching nights at an outdoor  Dog Sunday and the return of the brilliant Neil Kell
So, the sun is turning up the heat as we turn up the volume.
Saturday promises to be an absolute scorcher. And musically it doesn’t get any better than the return of Merry Hell for their third time.
New album ‘Head Full Of Magic, Shoes Full Of Rain’ tucked under their arms, MH bring as few of their mates to support and introduce to us. Debutants at the Dog come in the shape of Headsticks and Derek Ecclestone
The bill is completed by one of our all time favourite performers, Injun Joe. Joe has recently gone through a rebranding exercise and now performs under the name of Eaves. Part Buckley, part Drake and part all-of-his-own-doing, Joe doesn’t get over here (he lives exiled in Leeds) as much as we’d like so you are implored to catch him while he’s here.
Opening the night is our very good friend Russ Duss. The ex-Spanglefish singer plays his first gig in what feels like decades. Come down and give him your best.
Couple all this with a sunny atmos, cold beer, tepid real ales and wonderful DJs ‘til early Sunday – well, there’s enough there to get your interest peaked
FREE ENTRY  Merry Hell 2130-2300
Headsticks 2030-2100
Derek Ecclestone 1940-2010
Eaves 1850-1920
Russ Dunn 1800-1830
We’re a sharing lot here at the Dog. This stretches to our loyal patrons too. They love nothing more than booking a shit hot gig and then inviting EVERYONE. And this is exactly what Dani has done to celebrate her quarter century.
The following has been directly transcribed from the positive vibes emanating from Dani's eyes:
"Come and watch some bands and spend lots of money at the bar buying me whiskey! ;-)
Would love to see you all xx

Bring friends, everyone is welcome! All the bands are BANGIN'. Don't think me Grandad will come, he can't tell what these young uns are saying over all this loud music.
Straight edge fellows from many places around England. Bringing lovely heavy noise to your ears.

Smashing band from Leeds! Punk rock wizardry. Featuring current drummer of Zapiain, the former drummer of Zapiain and one guy who has never been in Zapiain (Don't think!)

Liverpool based instrumental, big riffy goodness!
See you then x"
There's more but I don't want to overface your brains.
Bit of a Dogstock catchup coming yr way on these pages too.
Stay tooooned
